What does an Ayurvedic Practitioner do?

An Ayurvedic practitioner practices traditional Indian medicine focusing on holistic health and natural remedies. We use a combination of dietary recommendations, herbal therapies, yoga, and lifestyle changes to help treat and prevent various health conditions. Our Ayurvedic practitioners aim to balance the mind, body, and spirit to promote overall well-being,  also emphasize the importance of individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's unique constitution, known as doshas. By identifying a person's dominant dosha, our  Ayurvedic Practitioners can create personalized recommendations to restore balance and harmony within the body. This personalized approach allows for a more targeted and effective healing process, addressing not just the symptoms but the root cause of illness. Through the integration of ancient wisdom and modern science, Ayurvedic doctors offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to healthcare that nurtures the body's innate ability to heal itself.

The Ayurvedic system looks at each person as a whole and treats disorders as a total phenomenon of that whole, making a clear connection between emotional distress and physical deterioration. This holistic view suggests that illnesses affect mind and body and should be treated together.

What includes an Ayurvedic Consultation?

During an Ayurvedic Consultation, the practitioner evaluates all the elements of a person’s lifestyle, emotions, diet, exercise routine, metabolism, and body type. This process involves three steps:

1) The initial step is to identify your special body type through completing a simple questionnaire. The answers will assist the practitioner to determine your particular body type or dosha. With that knowledge, we can begin to balance the body, mind, and emotions by introducing you to a correct diet, lifestyle changes, and health prevention methods.

2) The second step involves a fascinating method of pulse reading to determine immediately if the internal organism is out of balance and, if so, what organs and tissues are affected.

3) To complete your consultation, the Ayurvedic practitioner will do an in-depth assessment of your health and lifestyle to provide you with a dietary, herbal and treatment guideline.

Note: An administrative fee of $25 will be charged to your credit card in case you do not show to your appointment and we are unable to reach you.
