JothiVita offers Wellness in the Workplace programs onsite for companies that want to improve the health, wellness and focus of their employees. Doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. The Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine has indicated that Health care expenditures are nearly 50% greater for workers who report high levels of stress. Medical research now proves that meditation is the #1 Stress management technique. Even though meditation should not be considered a cure by itself, scientific research has proven it to be beneficial for a wide range of health problems. The most significant health benefits of meditation are stress reduction, better sleep, lower blood pressure, improved cardiovascular function, improved immunity, and the ability to stay centered in the midst of all the turmoil that’s going on around you. Meditation helps you do less and accomplish more.
There are many ways that we can structure a program that will meet your wellness objectives and stay within your budget parameters. The following are our service offerings:
90 Minute Learn to Meditate Workshop
For those with no time to de-stress, but who need it most. This 90 minute introductory Learn to Meditate Workshop explains the basics of how meditation works and the science that supports the health benefits tied to meditation. Participants are introduced to Primordial Sound Meditation, which is a meditation technique originating in the ancient wisdom of India. Primordial sounds – the basic, most essential sounds of nature – are used to disconnect us from the hundreds of interrupts that affect your employees each day. These sounds, known as mantras, are based on the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth. Every person leaves this class with a universal mantra to use during their at-home meditation practice and a Meditation Guide to help them use the skills learned on a regular basis.
Wellness in the Workplace – Six Week Program
This program is taught in six weekly one-hour sessions. The first session begins with the basics of meditation – what it is, how it works, how it can benefit each person, and ways to integrate it into daily life. Throughout the six-week program, participants are taught and practice Primordial Sound Meditation and the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. All practice is hands-on and experiential, and participants are encouraged to discuss their experiences throughout the program. By the end of the program, the student will have learned how to meditate and apply the Seven Laws to their daily life styles. Optionally, this program can also be packaged as a three, four, or five week course – one hour per week.
Ongoing Meditation Sessions
One-hour weekly or bi-weekly meditation sessions are offered to companies that want to provide ongoing instruction to graduates of our previous meditation courses. These classes help motivate your employees to maintain and use the meditation skills they have learned. Ongoing meditation classes also provide a forum for your employees to relax and de-stress on a regular basis in the work environment. Classes are led by the instructor and can be scheduled before work, during the lunch hour, or after hours. The cost is based upon the frequency and structure of the program. Some clients choose to go directly to ongoing meditation sessions after a 90 Minute Introduction to Primordial Sound Meditation course.
